I believe there’s a hero in all of us.

BIO

Bitten by a radioactive spider at age fifteen, Peter Parker, born to Richard and Mary Parker on October 14th, 1991, has been steadily fighting crime for almost two decades as your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Fueled by an unwavering sense of justice and the belief that with great power there must also come great responsibility, Spider-Man has taken down small-time crooks to global terrorists and everything in between. When he’s not busy donning the mask, Peter, for the last five years, has been a science teacher at Midtown High, his alma mater. Before that, you might know him as the Daily Bugle’s #1 Spider-Man photographer from 2006 all the way to 2018, as well as being the author for WEBS: SPIDER-MAN IN ACTION, a photobook detailing his career as Spidey’s photo man. The book was a best-seller, and it gave Peter quite a bit of fame that died out the moment he disappeared from the public eye.But his life is not without tragedies. From the mysterious plane crash that took his parents’ lives in early 1999, when Peter was a mere seven years old; his uncle Ben’s murder in late 2006; his college sweetheart Gwen Stacy’s untimely demise in winter 2013 and lastly of all, his aunt May’s murder in mid-2020, after the events New York remembers as the Superhero Civil War. Every death came with a lesson, and every one of the departed is kept near and dear to his heart, refusing to live in vain, to make their deaths meaningless. He is a man that’s lost too much.During Tony Stark’s campaign for the Superhero Registration Act, Spider-Man was publicly revealed to be Peter Parker himself; a reveal conducted no less than by the hero himself. It came as a surprise to the rest of the world, but a surprise that wouldn’t last long. With the aid of Doctor Strange, every single person who learned of his identity on that fateful day has forgotten entirely. And so Spider-Man’s true name remains a mystery to many, but a shared secret for a select few. The anonymous hero who sticks up for the little guy, the menace, the spectacular, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN.

ABOUT

  • EVERYTHING from Amazing Fantasy #15 all the way to the very first issue of One More Day is canon to this portrayal. This portrayal refuses to acknowledge One More Day and its repercussions, so modern arcs such as Spider-Island, Superior Spider-Man and others are ignored.

  • Given that the canon material went through different ages and fads, everything will be re-adapted according to the trends in the last thirty years. This means, for example, that Peter had MySpace in high school or that his infamous ANIMAL crop top outfit took place in 2015. Keep this in mind when interacting, I will do my best to lay out a timeline in which everything fits.

  • While Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker do exist, this portrayal ignores most of the post-OMD stuff. This means Ben was never the Jackal to this Peter (nor ever suffered such brutal character assassination), and Kaine doesn’t have The Other power buff. Instead, Peter has it.

  • SPIDER-VERSE IS NON-CANON. The comic version, anyways. This Peter was around for the movie version of those events, siding with Miles.

  • For his high school years, this portrayal takes inspiration from Spectacular Spider-Man. For his college years, this portrayal takes inspiration from Spider-Man: The New Animated Series. Expect events that occurred in those shows to be referenced in some way (the non-canon breaking ones, at least; the high school and college cast of characters remain as they were in the comics).

  • This is a multiship portrayal, with every ship taking place in its own universe. For literally any other ship that isn’t PeterMJ (which I’m a fan of), my Peter is divorced.

  • As for shipping: women only. I don’t like extreme age-gaps, so I won’t ship with any character that’s younger than twenty-one (and even twenty-one-year-old characters are a big IF) or older than forty-five (apparent - this does not apply for immortal characters or similar). At this point, Peter is thirty-three. I will also not ship with any character that looks like an animal or has permanent animal features (ears, tail, whiskers, whatever) or aged-up portrayals (you’re a fucking weirdo if you approach me with that).

  • Mayday Parker, in this canon, was stillborn. Confirmed. No kidnapping subplot or anything of the sort, so don’t expect Peter to be a father.

  • Some ideas and characters from recent comics may be acknowledged, such as Carlie Cooper, Flash as Agent Venom and whatever else I happen to like. I vehemently refuse to acknowledge Ben Reilly as anything but Spider-Man/Scarlet Spider, and get Paul and Jackpot away from here.

  • FC is Bobby Campo. If he’s somehow problematic (which I hope he isn’t), I’ll default back to John Krasinski.

  • Writer goes by F. Both writer and character go by he/him.

  • You should know before interacting that I’m pro-choice. That I stand with Palestine. That I love and support my LGBT+ friends. That I support free carry, and I don’t like drugs. That I don’t like people boasting about “hurr I take edibles every day I’m so KEWL”. That I’m pro-death penalty. That I believe in equality above all else. That I’ll treat you the way you treat me, no more and no less. That my views WILL be reflected on my portrayal. Take that into consideration before following.

  • Also, suggestive content may be present on the TL and in interactions with consenting parties/ships. We’re adults and Peter Parker fucks. Come on.

  • ALSO, if you write Wilson Fisk or Norman Osborn, it’s on sight immediately. Peter hates them.

RULES

  • First thing’s first: don’t bring petty drama to my life. I genuinely don’t care if X or Y blocked you, or if someone doesn’t like the same ships you like. If you’re a troublemaker and like to drown in a glass of water, I’m blocking you.

  • If you come here with some zionist divisive bullshit, you’re getting a block.

  • You’re also getting a block if you’re a discriminative POS. While not in the community myself, I’ve plenty of friends who are part of the LGBT+ collective and I, the writer, am a Latino man. I don’t stand for any form of discrimination so get the hell away from here with that.

  • If you use AI “art” or you pay for Twitter (whether or not you have a verified checkmark next to your name), don’t even try to interact with me. AI steals from real artists and Elon Musk is a piece of right-wing, discriminative shit so if you give your money to him you can go fuck yourself. And if you steal from artists, you can also go fuck yourself. I always check new followers, so if I see AI or a “see more” in one of your Tweets followed by a whole bunch of text, I’m removing you or blocking you.

  • I care about crediting artists but I’m not gonna hunt you down if you forget or fail to, I get not all art is signed or has the artist’s information readily available. I do ask that you at least try finding the artist.

  • I don’t mind crack or the occasional OOC rant, I’m guilty of both myself, but if your account is exclusively crack stuff or a whole lot of OOC rants, expect a soft-block or don’t expect me to follow back.

  • As a Latino, English isn’t my first language. Which means I’m very judgmental of non-Hispanics writing Hispanic characters. It’s too obvious when you’re using Google Translate. Repeated offenses will likely earn you a block. I’m not asking you to learn my language but at least respect it enough to know the basics.

  • I ask you to be patient with me. I’m not always in the right mindset to pop out replies and sometimes I just don’t feel like it. Also, since this isn’t my first language, grammatical mistakes may be made. You’ll just have to live with them.

  • LEWD ACCOUNTS DO NOT INTERACT. I don’t mind writing some raunchy stuff, but that’s to be kept strictly in DMs. I will NOT follow back if you’re a lewd account (with the exception of writers I actually care about).

  • MINORS DO NOT INTERACT. I’m twenty-five years old, I have no reason why I should be writing with kids. You stay in your lane, I’ll stay in mine. That said, I expect every writer that writes with me to be at least 20+. I genuinely don’t care if you’re 60 and roleplaying, this hobby’s for everyone.

  • I don’t really plot. Yeah. I like going into stuff not knowing what’s gonna happen. Of course, things like ships, your character knowing or not knowing Peter’s identity and stuff like that I expect them to be discussed about, but little else.

  • Don’t god-mode me. Seriously, don’t.

  • For canon characters: if your character canonically knew Peter was Spider-Man PRIOR to One More Day, then they know. If they didn’t, they don’t. OCs: you don’t know unless you have a good reason to know (with the exception of OCs written by writers I esteem. You guys can know.)

  • Don’t dump your “child of…” OCs on me without prior talk. Peter’s not gonna be your character’s dad.

  • If I did something that made you uncomfortable, tweet something that you don’t like or anything of the sort, hit me up. We’re adults. I’ll hear you out, apologize, delete the offense and move on, I’m not here to make enemies and I don’t want my fellow writers to be uncomfortable. You can go fuck yourself if you come at me with a Karen attitude though.

  • IF I’M MUTUALS WITH SOMEONE PROBLEMATIC, LET ME KNOW PRIVATELY.

  • I’ve seen a couple of ship merchants around and let me tell you, if your whole purpose in RP is to ship, I’m not gonna follow you. If your whole thing is shipping AND you bitch and moan when somebody blocks you for it, I’ll probably call you out on it.

  • If you made it all the way down here, you’re awesome.
